Job Description

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and process to support the achievement of the plant's business goals and objectives. The Maintenance Technician II will work closely with the Operations and Production teams in order to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of all machines and equipment. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for performing handy work around the office including but not limited to moving or assembling furniture,
hanging wall items, repairing appliances, or other work as directed. This position must act with safety in mind at all times, and must always understand and follow SQF and GMP requirements.

-Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the pant facility?s equipment.
-Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
-Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
-Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
-Read and interpret equipment and machine manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
-Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and test and make adjustments.
-Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
-Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
-Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper management.
-Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
-Ensure work is in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards.
-Assist new hires and new members of the Maintenance department with processes, procedures, and training.

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

- Basic knowledge of production operations procedures
- Basic knowledge of production machines and equipment
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing machines and equipment, including pallet jacks, high lifts, and forklifts

High School

1-4 years

- High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
- At least 1 year prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production environment is required, 2+ years are preferred.
- Accompanying certifications (electrician, welding, H-VAC, etc.) are preferred.
