Job Description

Quality Manager is accountable for carrying out the directives of factory management, as well as making necessary improvements and suggestions for meeting company Safety, Quality and Productivity goals.

Responsibilities:
Completion of schedules, Plant quality conformance, Proactive quality improvement projects, manpower utilization and assessment are the primary responsibilities of the manager. All Quality Control Coordinators will report directly to the Quality Manager. The Quality Manager reports to the Engineering Manager.

Manages and leads Quality Management System.
Directly supervises a team of Quality Coordinators. This role will prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments accordingly to execute our Quality Management System.
Site Owner for the Plant Visual Knowledge Share (V.K.S.) program?s implementation, execution, and sustainment.
Provides support and training in the implementation of all quality processes and procedures by actively working with necessary employees involved.
Leads and manages internal training program.
Warranty champion for external customers. This role will be the lead for communication, issue resolution and improvement projects aimed at reducing product warranties.
Internal owner for warranty order execution ensuring inspections are in place to meet our customer?s expectations.
Assures employees follow all quality procedures and processes including completing necessary forms and paperwork required.
Ensure all critical to quality processes are audited and tracked to ensure part and door quality conformance.
Utilizes Continuous Improvements tools such as 5S, Kaizen (process improvement), Six Sigma, SPC, and other quality improvement tools as needed.
Utilizes internal and external quality data to drive proactive projects aimed at reducing top quality & remake issues.
Quality Champion for all new product developments, launches and offerings.
Leads internal reviews of current state quality issues and projects.
Partners with other plants to implement best practices within the quality organization.

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Skills:
The Quality Manager must be proficient in understanding quality objectives and capable of developing a plan to meet them. This position will work with the production leadership team to develop, implement, audit, and execute our Quality Management System (QMS). This system ensures we meet both internal and external quality expectations. The Quality Manager provides expertise, technical assistance, consultation and training to staff and employees regarding rules, regulations, and quality standards within our QMS. Furthermore, this position will be the owner of documentation control within our QMS.

LEADERSHIP SKILLS: The Quality Manager is accountable for making sure the quality coordinators understand the goals on a day-to-day basis and are working towards them. They are responsible that our workforce is being held to a high standard for quality. In the area of leadership, it is essential that the Quality Manager:

-Understands and strictly enforces the quality departments Standard Work Instructions and Procedures.
Ensures all employees follow safety, attendance, and work rules without exception.
Coaches his/her team on performance issues and rewards excellence.
-Communicates objectives of the business to employees
-Creative and challenges self, and team, to think ?outside of the box? to solve challenging problems.

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
3-5 years of experience leading Quality Management Systems in a Manufacturing Plant.
Exceptional communication, organizational, time management, ability to work in a team, and people solving skills and a high attention to detail are a must.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power point, Outlook and other office systems as needed.
