Job Description

Join a cutting-edge engineering firm as a Manufacturing Account Manager! Our client is a is a global automation and machine component designer and manufacturer located in Middleton, serving some of the largest companies worldwide, and they are looking to expand their team comprised of highly accountable, technically talented, and innovation focused individuals who come together for one another and their customers.

In this newly created role, you will have the opportunity to work with existing and potential customers in promoting, educating, and providing them with technical sales related questions and support. You will have a role in assisting with production specification and solution design, completing sales calls, prospecting new customers, preparing customer quotes, and following up with customers to complete the sale. You will inform and educate customers of the benefits of the product offerings. Key focuses will include:

- Demonstrating a deep understanding of the products, services, and capabilities.
- Acting as the direct point of contact for a portion of the customer base, assisting with product selection and technical support from inquiry to post-sale support, via email, phone, and in-person.
- Assisting in answering product, design, integration, and other technical sales related questions.
- Providing price and lead time quotations to customer?s inquiries.
- Visiting customers onsite to understand complex issues and discuss solutions (<5% of year)
- Utilizing sales & CRM software to track interactions and project standpoints with new and existing customer base.
- Designing and specifying standard and custom designs to meet customer needs.
- Assisting customers in troubleshooting issues with sold products and solutions.
- Attending trade shows, conferences, and exhibitions representing the company (2-5x annually)
- Identifying gaps and pitfalls in product lines and assist with scoping new product specifications and industry requirements.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

- Highly organized and systematic
- Exceptional skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT)
- Driven, motivated, customer focused, inquisitive, team-oriented, and actively seeking to grow both personally and the company
- Effective communication with both internal and external customers
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. if necessary.
- Ability to travel occasionally is required.
- Willingness to learn and try new things is highly desired (production procedures and methods, software, etc.)


1-4 years

- Bachelors or certificate degree in engineering , science, technology, or related discipline is required. Experience in lieu of education will be considered
- Must have 2 to 5 years of experience in Technical account management and sales of industrial and/or technology related products, in a business-to-business environment
- Minimum of 1 year experience in technical sales
