Performs clerical and administrative duties requiring judgment in solving problems and making routine recommendations. Requires knowledge of company policies and practices. Provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support for department or organizational unit. May serve as administrative liaison with others within the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, human resources, facilities, and operations.
1. Data Entry of timecards for nonexempt and hourly employees.
2. Perform administrative assistant duties for the department Managers and Supervisors.
3. Perform receptionist duties for the department.
4. Order supplies and materials for office and manufacturing areas as needed in departments.
5. Schedule hearing and vision exams as needed in departments.
6. Schedule maintenance of office machines.
7. Assist in the shipping department when necessary.
Working hours: Monday-Friday
1. Working knowledge of company policies, including medical and 401K.
2. A minimum of three years administrative experience. Ability to perform full administrative assistant duties for several people. Must be flexible and able to adjust to interruptions. Adaptable to changing priorities and concurrent assignments. Must be able to organize tasks and work independently.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels, both inside and outside the plant.
4. Experience and proficiency with modern office equipment. Computer experience with the ability to use Microsoft Office is a must.
5. Ability to respond independently to routine and emergency issues, based on priority and importance of plant operations.
6. Ability to be cross-trained for other jobs in the department.
7. Ability and desire to work in a demanding fast-paced work environment.
