Manufacturing Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Description

Spherion Staffing has openings on 2nd shift for Manufacturing Technicians with a local client. Qualified applicants will provide a variety of repetitive production tasks operating various machines. The machinery can include benders, roll formers, wrappers, slitters, shears, and other machines as assigned.

Sunday-Thursday 3 pm-11:30 pm
Pay: $15.50-15.75/hour DOE

Responsibilities:
-Complete all quality checks as documented
-Complete all daily orders in assigned area
-Meet or exceed goals including safety, productivity, scrap, on-time delivery and accuracy
-Perform daily operator preventive maintenance checks, as assigned
-Report all machinery issues to Maintenance promptly
-Clean and reset work area at the end of each shift
-Accurately update all records and visual tracking, whether written or electronic
-Cross-train as directed and be willing to work at any production position in the plant, on an as needed basis
-Participate in monthly inventory

Skills:
Requirements:
-High School diploma or GED
-Must be willing to cross-train in at least two additional work tasks
-Ability to read a tape measure, do basic mathematical calculations and use a calculator
-Ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift 75 pounds
-Ability to work while being exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat
-Should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
-Be willing to work various shifts
