Job Description

Looking for a long-term career with the possibility for growth both financially and professionally? This may be what you have been looking for. Our client in the San Luis Obispo area has an immediate need for a temp-to-perm Purifier Technician to join their manufacturing team.

The point of use Purifier Technician position is responsible for assembling point of use Purifiers, using a variety of methods which may include mechanical filling of purifiers, bead blasting, and oven systems. A
basic knowledge of hand tools is necessary; drill motors, wrenches, power saws, grinders and related equipment. Must be able to work from verbal instructions

- Verifies product visually and takes corrective action when necessary. Ensures product is consistent with established specifications. Escalates quality issues as appropriate. Ensures highest possible product quality and adherence to the quality system, ISO and/or other standards. Ensures all product is packaged per packaging specifications.
- Performs various operations on the product in accordance with the work orders and process record instructions and photographic library.
- Finalizes all required paperwork thoroughly and timely (i.e. Production Reports, Labels, Component Sheets, Rework Sheets, SAP Transactions etc.). Completes hour by hour sheets on manufacturing processes as required. - ---Follows travelers, work instructions and ?punches in and out? accurately to apply labor time to specific work orders and or project accounts.
- Integrates on all key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness and product/system quality. Promotes and implements use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value activities. Participates actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s, Kaizen events, etc.
- Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment. Performs duties in a safe manner and observes approved safety procedures. Communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor.
- Follow a documented sequence of identifying, measuring, and use of processing equipment. Perform cutting and cleaning processes, final inspection, labeling and packaging of products. Enter all inspection
data and batch detail information into SAP or and other computer-based systems.
- Perform setup and adjustments according to work instruction specifications.
- Use of metrology equipment (Scales calipers?) and basic math.
- Use of computer programs, excel and other data entry tasks.
- Operate and verify the performance of equipment and make necessary adjustments.
- Ability to build to set time standards.
- Assist with inventory and cycle count as requested.
- Prioritize work in accordance with lead/managers direction.
- May provide direction to other less experienced operators as requested
- Must be able to read write and communicate in English

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

- ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
- follow instructions both written and verbal
- work well within a team and get all tasks done in a timely fashion

High School

1-4 years

- 6 months + experience in a manufacturing role
- HS diploma
