Material Handler Job

Job Description

Our client, a manufacturing company, has openings on both 1st and 2nd shift for Material Handlers. This position is responsible for stocking and pulling parts as well as delivering materials and supplies. The Material Handler will support shipping and receiving functions in this production environment.

1st shift 6am-4:30pm M-Thur Have to be open to working overtime. Overtime typically on Fridays and sometimes Saturdays
2nd shift 4:15pm - 2:45am Mon-Thursday Currently working OT on Friday
Pay $14.25/hour

Responsibilities
- Performs the material handling and warehousing functions required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing and shipping of parts, materials, equipment and supplies
- Performs bin transfer confirmation and confirms all material pulled for production orders
- Maintains administrative related records and operates computer to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing
- Perform preventive maintenance as required
- Assist in identifying issues and initiating corrective action processes as necessary
- Perform 5S Audits
- Perform Safety Stop Audits observations as required

Skills:
Requirements:
--High School diploma or equivalent required
--Minimum 2 years job related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
--Must have a proven record of good attendance
--Must possess ability to deal with multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
--Effective oral and written communication skills
--Highly motivated and a self-starter
