Job Description

Material Handler will work in the warehouse and manufacturing areas to move products and kit materials, which requires independently finding and/or pulling materials on the shelves and in work areas. Material Handler will support the Production, Engineering and Quality departments to ensure efficient use and coordination of materials to support the manufacturing and engineering demands of the company when they are required. Picking, counting, documenting, packaging and identifying all materials, cycle counting and miscellaneous support of manufacturing.

Responsibilities:
Maintains clean and orderly work areas
Reports quality/quantity material availability discrepancies for immediate resolution
Understands First In First Out (FIFO) practices, pulls materials from warehouse and other storage locations in FIFO order at requested quantities.
Performs cycle counting on inventory
Complies with ALL guidelines and requirements while pulling from inventory and preparing materials for manufacturing
Organizes and identifies kitted materials on pallets and/or totes
Accurately counts materials being requested using various counting aids and digital weigh scales, knowledge of basic unit conversion.
Demonstrates understanding and adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, and rules.
Demonstrates understanding and adherence to all company lean initiatives and participates accordingly.
Initiates process improvements by communicating inefficiencies and inconsistencies.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Basic Math and Reading comprehension
Excellent attention to detail required
Able to interpret all procedures and follow verbal instructions
Dexterity and preciseness required to move materials and supplies
Must follow all FDA, GMP's, and ISO elements
Ability to consistently maintain acceptable levels of productivity and capable to respond to manufacturing demands within 72 hours on an on-going basis.

High School

Experience:
0-1 years

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be available for Overtime when requested

Lean manufacturing training/experience preferred
