Job Description

The Maintenance/Operator works is a hybrid position that supports both the Maintenance and Production departments. This position primarily assists with any maintenance needs but it also gives the opportunity to learn the skills of a Maintenance Mechanic role. The position also requires working as a Production Operator or supporting the production line as often as necessary.

Responsibilities:
Maintains equipment and maintenance shop area clean and organized.
Assists Maintenance Lead and Maintenance Mechanics with daily maintenance needs, preventative maintenance, and reporting requirements.
Daily inspects entire machinery for problems, not just problems reported.
Assemble/disassembles machine and equipment as required.
Tags all repaired parts following procedure.
Identifies and logs all parts before storing.
Checks stock and reports on parts that need to be ordered.
Operates machinery in the production line or supports running production equipment, as needed.
Responds to emergency break downs from production line in a timely matter.
Identifies and acts immediately regarding any safety hazards, spills, etc., to avoid the risk of accidents.
Uses safe lifting techniques and operates power equipment in a safe manner. Abide by all stated regulations while performing works, i.e., lockout/tagout procedures, etc.

Working hours: 3:00 PM - 5:00 AM (Various Shifts Available)

Skills:
Basic computer skills.
Forklift Certification preferred.
Spanish a plus but successful candidate need not be bilingual
Electrical Contractor's License a plus
Experience in an industrial environment
Minimum six (5) years of commercial and or industrial electrical experience
Ability to perform work efficiently without supervision
Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
Requires occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent education.
Excellent analytical skills required.
