Job Description

Looking for established MECHANICAL ASSEMBLERS looking to grow and learn in a thriving industry. Local in Frederick, MD!

Responsibilities:

  • Good knowledge of IPC-A-610D workmanship standards
  • Ability to follow internal processes as specified, and access procedures on computer system
  • Ability to use proper bar code job step and time card log-in, and fill out labor correction sheets
  • Test and verify ESD equipment (e.g., wrist strap and cord)
  • Ability to accurately complete Shop Move Logs in Manfact
  • Ability to perform basic inquiries in Manfact such as INV.Q, WIP.Q and BOM11F
  • Ability to manually build and solder electronic printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies by using applicable soldering equipment, assembly drawings and other instructions as applicable
  • Ability to modify PCB?s by following CNN or other instructions
  • May be asked to perform go/no-go testing of basic electronic equipment using written and/or verbal test procedures and basic test equipment
  • May be asked to perform manual vision inspection of printed circuit boards, cable, and electro-mechanical assemblies


Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Skills:

  • 1-3 years related assembly experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Intermediate understanding of hand tools and micro assembly techniques
  • Comfortable to work under a microscope where needed
  • Ability to read assembly drawings
  • Ability to perform basic math to include adding and subtracting two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
  • Ability to read a ruler and use a calculator.
  • Ability to work from rough schematics, blueprints or verbal instructions to build developmental assemblies, subassemblies and components.

High School

Experience:
1-3 years

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • 1-3 years related assembly experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to pass an on-boarding background and drug screen
