Job Description

Facilitates the patient flow within the outpatient clinic by performing general front office clerical duties, patient registration, patient scheduling, patient insurance authorizations, billing, and reception as well as assist the physician(s) and patients in the clinical functions necessary to facilitate a patient visit.

For this position candidate will be responsible for:
-Creating patient visit accounts, establishing and entering pre-clinic activity into the hospital system along with patients' medical records and reports for the department.
-Assisting with scheduling, registering patients and assembling patient???s chart to ensure seamless patient visit.
-Candidate will also serve as a resource person for office staff. Maintain and order appropriate inventory of all necessary clerical and medical supplies to ensure availability for efficient clinic operations.
-Processing various authorizations for clinic patients including, but not limited to: clinic authorizations, procedure authorizations, authorizations for outside imaging, and prior authorizations for medication.
-Greeting patients, taking vitals and other necessary tasks assigned.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Our client is looking for a candidate with outstanding problem solving and decision making skills. Must be able to help resolve patient concerns in a professional manner. Candidate must be able to multi-task and coordinate office duties with co-workers and supervisor. It's very important for our candidate to communicate effectively. Our preferred candidate will be able to read, write and speak in English/Spanish.

High School

1-4 years

Our client is looking for a candidate with a minimum of: Graduation of an accredited medical assistant program or 2 years of equivalent work experience in medical office/clerical.
Preferred: 3-5 years of medical assistant experience in a clinical environment.
