Responsibilities:
Great opportunity to join this well established South Carolina corporation where you will oversee all areas of product development for their Retail Product line!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist the merchandising/sales staff with normal daily activities
Direct or develop product development (raw materials, design, cost, presentation, presentation packages, etc.
Establishes all product standards for the product line. This encompasses the settling of specs and tolerances in accordance with Customer specifications, Quality control parameters and new or established product requirements
Establishes pricing base on market variable, customer needs, volume, cost and margin, sales input, etc.
Responsible for controlling costs within the merchandising framework
Advises planning with sales projections on new products, actual sales, inventory levels to be maintained and changes in market and or customer needs.
Works with customers, sales and marketing to establish product standards for new product, this includes products, labels, and packaging
Assists Merchandising in preparing for Trade Shows and miscellaneous presentations

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Skills:
Must be able to analyze and interpret sales trends. Must develop and maintain accurate data pertaining to costs and pricing. Must be able to identify areas of opportunity within our product lines. Must possess a creative mind and a good eye for color to assist in design direction and work with artist and designers and Sales team to develop products as needed. Approve lab dips, strike offs, shade bands, etc. Must be Quality conscious and incorporate a high standard of quality when developing products. Must be well organized, detail oriented and accurate. Develops and adheres to timeline calendars and insures their execution. Asist sales staff in presentations and present products to buyers. Travel domestically and possible international required.

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
College graduate or equivalent with above average reading, writing, and math skills. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PPoint. Must be able to multi-task and follow specific instructions with little or no follow up. Must be able to follow Quality Guidelines for Product Development. Must be able to travel and work with customers.
