Job Description

Primary Objective of Position
Team player that exhibits a strong work ethic combined with leadership skills, capable of training new associates, computer knowledge, skills with equipment, and the ability to use their hands to make precise
measurements and control equipment and/or materials. A combination of both mechanical and technical ability, along with troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist Manufacturing Engineer with projects and/or as needed.
- Observe established safe working and housekeeping procedures. Promptly correct and/or notify Manager of hazardous situations.
- Create and ensure all equipment in the passives area have logs that are maintained to capture required data such as down time, routine maintenance, start time along with completion time and date.
- Train new associates and generate a training checklist for each operation.
- Assist MFG supervisor and/or line lead on estimated time requirements on new and existing product.
- Ensure equipment is up to date on calibration.
- Production & Test equipment operational duties, troubleshooting product and production issues.
- Review manufacturing processes and implement cost effective improvements focusing on set-up and cycle time reductions and equipment uptime on a continual basis.
- Analyze and reduce scrap and rework; identify reasons for scrap, implement corrective actions to reduce and monitor results.
- Support new product development
- Identifies and assists in procuring proficient tools, fixtures, and equipment for manufacturing.
- Assists in improving a system of production control, SOP, safety, quality control and training.
- Assist with product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency.
- Expectation to support and deploy Lean Manufacturing disciplines and philosophies as a tool for process flows, cost and cycle time reductions.
- Provide high quality, on-time products to meet customer requirements.
- Has contact with internal and external customers and co-workers.
- Operates a variety of equipment to assemble products. Produces products to conform to engineering drawings assembly documentation and quality required. Performs set-ups/adjustments.

- Ability to satisfactorily complete and implement all OJT and required trainings.
- Ability to understand the organization structure, businesses and sites, and applying that knowledge to daily tasks, communications and assignments.
