Job Description

Spherion is immediately seeking an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT for the mortgage servicing department of our reputable Columbia, SC client who holds an excellent reputation for the job stability, strong benefits package, and excellent work-life balance they offer. The Administrative Specialist will assist the default department by ensuring mandatory telephone contact is attempted in compliance with insurer guidelines for delinquent accounts, as well as other administrative duties.

Working hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Skills:
Duties include

Manage the automated telephone system to ensure mandatory calls are made as scheduled
Review and analyze results to import into reports
Research failed attempts and reach out to local borrower
Research and correct misapplied mortgage payments
Conduct compliance audits
Address and correct compliance audit findings
Assist default counselors with call campaigns as needed

Qualifications

High school Diploma or GED

2+ years Microsoft Word/Excel experience
Detail oriented with the ability to organize and set priorities
Ability to meet strict deadlines and maintain regulatory compliance
Mortgage or collection experience preferred
