Job Description

The National Sales Manager position is responsible for Vegetation equipment, service, and OEM parts sales. This includes our tree trimming products, and right of way mulching products, along with replacement parts for all product lines. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

- Drive a coherent sales strategy for each assigned customer by geographic region
- Develop annual sales plan and multi-year projection plans including Sales and Operations Planning
- Develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels to obtain marketing intelligence of current and future customer plans
- Develop and communicate customer quotes, proposals, and long term contracts
- Communicate to customer?s quality, product improvement, and new product development updates
- Gather Voice of Customer information and in cooperation with Engineering,
- Product Management and Supply Chain to meet customer requirements developing future solutions
- Understand industry dynamics, market trends, developing marketing and product development strategy
- Evaluate competitors? product offering, features, market, business analysis, etc
- Establish value-based pricing along with competitor and market based realities
- Support the business strategic operating plan, achieving monthly, quarterly, annual sales and business goals.

- Seek out and develop new opportunities in our marketplace that align with our expertise
- Manage the pipeline for all assigned customer opportunities
- Manage all customer proposal efforts including schedule layout, assignments, and action items
- Submit proposal packages and scheduled updates to the customer
- Develop and maintain customer partnerships to work on equipment projects where our expertise is complimentary
- Develop marketing intelligence for current sales and future growth
- Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships to understand and anticipate their needs
- Manage existing accounts, meeting/exceeding key order and revenue metrics
- Provide weekly sales updates, including tracking of all opportunities using Salesforce
- Travel to customer sites to represent the VoC and represent the Company
- Support post-sales activities including product delivery, customer follow-up, and A/R collection

Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

- Working knowledge of vegetation management equipment preferred


4-7 years

- Relevant post-secondary education from an accredited University (technical and/or business courses).
- Minimum of 5-year experience in business-to-business customer sales and/or sales support.
- Minimum of 5-year experience with heavy equipment products with preference in vegetation management equipment and services.
- Proven track record of success in a culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement and high performance.
- Significant domestic travel required.
