Job Description

The NOC Tier II Technician will work within the Network Health Team and will be responsible for surveillance and maintenance of core network facilities and associated hardware.

This is a 6-Month Contract Position with the potential for full-time employment once the contract is complete. Pay Rate: $40/hr

Location: Tulsa / Position is work-from-home until further notice

Must be able to work between 45-60 hours per week

Must be willing to be available on-call 24/7, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities:
- Suspends any network activity that places the network at risk
- Identifies network troubles and opens trouble tickets for resolution; upon completion, closes tickets
- Runs tests, checks processes, and assists with repair coordination activities
- Tracks trouble resolutions; provides ticket updates and other information to customers
- Initiates escalation process to appropriate support group
- Coordinates with technicians and dispatches field technicians to provide maintenance/repairs and service
- Performs remote testing, coordinates off-net testing, and performs escalations
- Interacts with customers; attends customer meetings, and maintains knowledge of customer needs
- Assists in quality control, performance/process improvement measurement
- Provides front-line support on customer support calls
- May provide failure coordination efforts to ensure/or restore service
- May perform CLR reconciliation and schedules validation

- SONET (Nortel / Cisco / Fuji)
- IP / Ethernet (Juniper / Cisco)
- Layer 2 / 3 Protocols

Education:
High School

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 (5 preferred) years of experience in Telecommunications and Carrier Networks businesses
- Experience with G Suite, as well as Salesforce, considered a plus
- Familiarity with a 24x7 NOC environment and trouble tracking processes
