Job Description

This position is primarily responsible for identifying and isolating network faults and providing problem resolution. The ideal candidate will have experience with NOC, layer 2 and 3 networks, DWDM and SONET.

Must be willing to be available on-call 24/7, weekends and holidays (non-negotiable)

Pay Rate: $18 - $22/hr

Location: Tulsa / Position is work-from-home until further notice

-Perform transport equipment/EMS fault isolation and repair
-Take incoming phone calls from customers experiencing circuit issues. Isolate the fault location, repair faults on client???s network, and provide regular updates on circuit status
-Order replacement parts as necessary, create change request if applicable, and work with field ops to initiate final repair
-Investigate network outages to determine root cause, and provide recommendations for changes in processes and procedures, or network configuration to prevent recurrence of similar outages in the future
-Thoroughly review and understand parameters of network scheduled maintenance and to authorize, conduct, supervise, or monitor network maintenance activities in conjunction with other internal or external groups
-Review technical bulletins and job aides to determine equipment firmware upgrade requirements
-Ensure appropriate alarms/tickets are captured, actively monitor the network, transition open issues to incoming shift Service Desk Techs
-Support and cross-train other technicians
-Engage equipment vendor support and escalate to Tier II/III support as needed
-Perform hardware/software upgrades and validate equipment backups
-Proactively identify potential network problems
-Solicit customer feedback to continually improve service
-Actively monitor network equipment and facilities to ensure prompt response to environmental and potential customer traffic interrupting alarms
-Open and close network trouble tickets

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

-NOC/NCC experience is required
-Technical background is preferred
-Layer 2 & 3 network, DWDM, and SONET experience preferred
-Electrical engineering background is a plus

High School

1-4 years

-Must be able to work a 12 hour shift
-Ability to be on-call 24/7, holidays and weekends
-Must be a reliable, self-starter with attention to detail and ability to multitask
-Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment
-Must have exceptional customer service skills and ability to deescalate
-Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
