Job Description

A leader in tooling and plastics is looking for an Operations Manager to help meet and exceed their growing company! The candidate must provide leadership, direction and oversight to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Costs. This will include the processes and people involved in the tooling, production and distribution of product. The other job function is to provide the leadership and knowledge necessary to the personnel under his/her direction for the company to make a reasonable rate of return on its investment.

--Establish and control company policy for new molds
--Meet or exceed productivity and compliance to schedule goals
--Establish and track continuous improvement activities for assigned areas
--Meet or exceed customer complaint and DPPM goals
--Meet or exceed product or tooling on time delivery goals
--Ensure SAFETY and housekeeping standards are maintained in all assigned areas
--Review and approve alterations to production process, and ensure changes are communicated throughout our systems
--Develop and promote an environment that provides adequate motivation and supports empowerment of all assigned personnel
--Ensure the quality of work performed by production department personnel meets company requirements
--Identify, train and develop department personnel have adequate resources to perform quality work
--Ensure production department personnel have adequate resources to perform quality work
--Establish and maintain and effective 5S program for all assigned areas
--Complete all work in a SAFE manner and in accordance with ISO9001 and other company standards

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Able to build teams and work in a team environment
Exceptional project management skills and an understanding of Project Management Software
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Data based, quantitative approach to analysis and problem solving for issues surrounding product cost, value chain, logistics and risk
Detail oriented, organized and able to make good decisions
Interpret blueprints


4-7 years

BS in Polymer Science or Mechanical Engineering or 10 years of equivalent work experience, (MBA preferred).
Proven background in injection molding and tooling in automotive industry industry
Proficient in MS Office Suites
Ability to interface with customers
Travel as needed
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
