Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager for a Lansing, MI, medical organization. As the Project Manager, you would be expected to oversee projects in multiple states. Based in Lansing, MI, you might be required to travel to their other site locations.

The successful Project Manager will have at least five years of experience in all stages of the project management life cycle, from initiation, planning, execution, and closure. In this Project Manager role, you will be working with the Executive Leadership Team to develop the budget, project scope, deliverables and timeline. The Project Manager will initiate the plan, designate project resources, monitor progress, hold team members accountable for deliverables, and keep the Executive Leadership and Board of Directors informed.

- The primary role of the Project Manager is to provide strategic and tactical management, administration, and leadership to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Manages project budget and develops detailed financial plans, schedule of work and project plans, deliverables, milestones and required activities and tasks while adhering to appropriate lab standards.
- Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
- Conduct risk assessment and mitigation, tracking/monitoring of issues, risks, decisions, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Provides timely updates of all deviations from timelines and/or deliverables.
- Provides proactive communication of project status, budget, issues, and risks to leadership team.
- Manages finances, scope changes, schedules and releases.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The successful Project Manager will have proven success in a current/most recent Project Manager. Preferably in the healthcare field, but that is not a requirement.


4-7 years

- Bachelor?s degree in science or health-related field, Master?s Degree preferred.
- Prior experience in pharmaceuticals, health or life sciences preferred.
- Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- LIMS experience preferred
