Job Description

Sample management services company for the life sciences/pharmaceutical industry-is seeking Patient Advocates - customer service representatives to communicate with patients regarding insurance coverages. The Patient Advocates help the patients with the application process that helps them with access and affordability.--

Responsibilities:
?Perform customer service and administrative tasks to move applications through the enrollment process.
?Compare data entered with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format on screen to detect errors.
?Interact with key stakeholders within the Contact Center and Specialty Pharmacy.
?Report Adverse Events and/or Product Quality Complaints.
?Assist patients in securing financial assistance via available sources, as needed.
?Perform patient level benefits verifications as applicable for all major medical and pharmacy benefit plans.
?Coordinate prior authorizations based on payer guidelines and in compliance with law, regulations or guidance following established process guidelines.
?Execute day-to-day operations specific to the assigned program(s).
?Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

--Demonstrated computer skills includes Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Education:
High School

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
?High school diploma or equivalent
?Two (2) years of work experience in pharmacy, managed care, Medicaid and/or Medicare organizations, pharmaceutical and/or biotech manufacturer, insurance, medical office, or related field
?One (1) year of work experience in a customer service or customer focused role
?Experience with insurance and benefit investigations; knowledge of U.S. Private and Government payers
?Must have proven ability to provide consistently high-quality of service

Preferred experience:
?Technical school training in a related field
?Experience in a Contact Center environment
?Experience in a patient services role
?Experience with HIPAA
?Bi-lingual, English and Spanish, is a plus but not required
