Job Description

Part Time, weekly 20 hours, must be flexible with schedule to work any shift assigned between 7:00 am -10:00 pm, Monday through Sunday. Temporarily a work from home opportunity until the office reopens. Computer equipment will be provided, must have a high speed internet connection.

This position requires exceptional customer service experience with the ability to input data accurately into a computer system. Will be working under the daily supervision of the Team Lead or Supervisor.

Responsibilities:
-Obtains current patient information from established and new patients
-Assists/directs patients with questions and inquiries
-Accurately enters/updates patient information in scheduling system
-Identifies payer source, and verifies insurance eligibility
-Assists patients with completion of paperwork when necessary
-Reviews Scheduling System for needed updated demographics and consent forms
-Schedules and re-schedules appointments as needed
-Identifies patients by date of birth and name in the computer system
-Creates new account if patient not in the system.
-Answers telephone in a timely and polite manner, preferably within three rings
-Communicates with customers in a courteous, professional, cooperative and mature manner
-Accurately takes messages and conveys information to recipient
-Transfers call to physicians and nurses when medically indicated
-Protects/observes patient confidentiality per policies and procedures
-Accurately imports registration documents into patient's electronic health record

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

Skills:
-Must be detail oriented with good interpersonal and customer service skills
-Medical office and/or medical scheduling knowledge
-Must have the ability to effectively interact with physicians, patients and other staff members
-Have prior knowledge of proper, safe, efficient usage of current office equipment/software

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-1 to 3 years' experience working in outpatient radiology or hospital/medical scheduling required
-Must be knowledgeable in all modalities, including X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET-CT and Mammography
-Working knowledge of database applications such as MS Office (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
