Job Description

Part Time Patient Service Representative
Schedule: 6am-2:30pm (2 weeks training)
Pay rate: $16.00- $16.50/hr.
Start Date: 7/15/2019

The Patient Service Representative is responsible for providing 1st class customer service to our patients by treating them with courtesy and respect.

The Patient Services Representative answers inbound calls and places outbound calls to update patient demographics, schedule appointments, order supplies, physician referrals, prescription refills, collection of payment, and answer general questions.

Responsibilities:
As a patient services representative level 1 some of the key responsibilities would include:
Answering Incoming Patient Calls
Conducting Outbound Calls to Patients and Physician offices
Answering Patient inquiries, using multiple system resources to research and resolve various issues.
Scheduling patients for appointments with physician office(s) following physician specific requirements
Updating patient accounts as necessary
Building long lasting relationships with clients and patients
Providing reports to management staff regarding daily activities, process improvements, etc.
Other Duties as assigned

Experience:
Healthcare and/or Insurance related experience preferred
1 - 3 years of work experience preferred; Healthcare and/or Insurance billing or processing and customer service preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to navigate multiple various computer systems
Ability to type 30+ WPM
Ability to work in an environment with little supervision needed
Knowledge with Microsoft office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to work in a moderately noisy, fast pace and changing environment
Spanish/Russian a plus
