Job Description

Our long term client is seeking a Payroll Professional Analyst with great understanding of industry practices and organizational policies and procedures. Ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial journals, conducting research related to business wide consolidated business process. Candidate must be able to preform complex analysis regarding payroll issues, providing advanced analytical support to the Payroll Manager. Must have great ability to work on complex payroll problems where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Must be able to work independently preforming high level analysis of issues relating to payroll and related forms on a computerized system. Candidate must be knowledgeable on processing 72 hour rule of separation checks, audits, dues, agency fees, as well as local deductions. This positions requires the ability to review and respond to garnishment requests, daily edits of Personnel/Payroll System (PPS) and Online Time Reporting (OLTR). Candidate will be responsible for the Statement of Citizenship - Glacier program, handling new hires and re-hire packets, along with verbal and written employment verification of students. Our candidate must also be able to provide back up to other Payroll Assistants exercising judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Working hours: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm

The minimum requirements for this position are a Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate must have 4+ years of experience working in payroll of 4,000 plus employees. This position requires knowledge of payroll policies, procedures, payroll tax regulations, and reporting requirements. Candidate must present excellent written and oral communication skills with great attention to detail and strong analytical skills. The ability to manage time and prioritize obligations and tasks is highly needed. Candidate must be proficient in MS Excel, and Office 2010. Ideal candidate must also be knowledgeable of University policies and procedures. We are also looking for a candidate that has prior experience with Kronos, People Soft HCM, and has FPC or CPP certification.
