Job Description

Spherion Staffing is looking to put Pickers/Packers and Stowers/Sorters to work IMMEDIATELY in Greenwood, IN!

Our warehouses handle clothing items, home decorations, and eyeglasses

Just 10 minutes South of the Emerson exit on 465. These positions are filling up quick, as we are staffing for an "essential business" that is actively offering start dates.

Shifts Available:

WEEKEND - $13.50/hr

Sun-Tues - $13.50/hr

7:30p-7:30a
Wed-Sat - $12-$13.50/hr

General Summary
The General Warehouse Teammate is responsible for the accurate storing, shipping and receiving of product to meet
FedEx Supply Chain and the customer's standards of safety, security and productivity. All other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Accurately selecting product according to the customers order specifications.
Load and unload product onto or from delivery vehicles, pallets, etc. either by hand or with manual pallet jack.
Pulling and preparing product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
Perform picking/packing duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
May or may not move product and materials using a pallet jack, electric pallet jack or other equipment.
Operation Radio Frequency (RF) terminals for various functions including picking, quality, inventory, shipping, etc.
Determine the appropriate destination of product by scanning packages, reading labels and charts, verifying numbers and sort packages accordingly.
Maintain the facility?s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee accuracy of inventory.
Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts.
Check or count products for accuracy and or damage/ infestation.
Become knowledgeable of the responsibilities, procedures and duties of other areas of the warehouse if necessary.
Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
May or may not be responsible for operating warehouse and computer equipment.
Perform work in a safe and efficient manner.
Other duties as assigned

Physical/Cognitive Requirements

Ability to follow policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to read, speak, and understand English, in order to interpret information and maintain required records.
The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, stretching, reaching and handling materials. Regularly required to stand and walk for 8-10 hours a day.
Good physical condition, capable of repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs frequently, independently and repetitiously; anything above 50 lbs, team lift.
Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
Ability to count, compare and verify number patterns
Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled facility
Working Conditions

Work is performed in a general warehouse environment on a concrete surface with adequate lighting. Temperatures can be very hot during the summer months and very cold during the winter months. Work space can be very dusty and occasionally noisy due to traffic of motorized vehicles operating.

Education:
High School

Experience:
0-1 years

Qualifications:
Minimum 6 months of experience involved in performing work in a warehouse that requires the use of various warehouse practices and operating material handling equipment.
Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Radio Frequency (RF) equipment is preferred.
Strong sense of urgency; ability to meet deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and quality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Customer service driven
Strong team player.
