Job Description

Well respected national manufacturing company with plant operations in the South Rio Grande Valley, near Brownsville, seeks to hire an HR Manager full-time
with full benefits to start ASAP. The selected candidate will be the onsite Human Resources Manager for a Industrial manufacturing plant with approximately 150 onsite employees.
This role is brand new for this facility due to growth of operations. Person hired will report Corporate HR Director off site. Role will perform a variety of Human Resources functions by delivering high quality support and leadership in a demanding and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities include:
- Deliver onboarding for new hires, guide employees through HR related inquiries
- Lead and support employee engagement and alignment
- Lead participate in the labor and employee relations activities and recruiting
- Support corporate policies and make appropriate recommendations
- Safety programs, compliance and safety training
- Embrace and foster an environment that supports or core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to environmental, health and safety, and maintaining company regulatory compliance records
- Manage an On-boarding and Immersion process for new employees.
- Manage Labor and Employee Relations, (grievance processing, participate in labor negotiations with corporate etc.).
- Operate as an internal support to management in the identification, development, and implementation of business processes that will engage and align the work force with business strategies and objectives while focusing on core company values and competencies
- Champion rewards and recognition initiatives from design to delivery
- Consult with managers and supervisors on absenteeism, turnover and workforce data and take actions where necessary

Skills:
Requirements
--BS/BA preferred in a related field* A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position *PHR is a plus
--Experience in industrial manufacturing plant field HR plant operations setting is required.
COMMUNICATIONS:
--Communicate effectively with Internal customers such as hourly operations employees, Operations Leadership, Production Supervisors and other manufacturing employees


--Experience in Production Mfg Safety, training, certifications and compliance.
--Microsoft Office Suite * Must be able to work under tight timelines and meet multiple, sometimes competing commitments
