Job Description

The Powder Production Operator is responsible for the production activities in the powder production department. The primary function of this job is to ensure that he/she is producing the product required, at the quality level required, in the quantities needed and at efficient production rates.

The Powder Production Operator works closely with the Powder Production Group Leader and all supporting groups including: Maintenance, Quality Laboratory, Quality Assurance, Ingot Production and Final Measurement and to ensure production needs are achievable.

MUST be available to work any shift as needed (12am-8:30am/7:00am-3:30pm)

Responsibilities:
Responsible for Producing Slurries, Powders and Ingots and related duties within the Powder Production area in a safe, responsible manner in accordance with the Saint-Gobain EHS Charter, observing all Company and Government regulations.

??? Ensures required equipment and tools are in good working condition and calibration dates are in specification.
??? To follow Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions to ensure that quality standards are maintained.
??? Provides assistance and support as required ensuring a safe and cohesive work environment.
??? To wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following safety requirements at all times.
??? Observe and report all unsafe conditions to the Group Leader or Management.
??? Completes required reports, logs and documentation accurately.
??? Completes training as needed or required.
??? Ensures all equipment is cleaned and prepared for next use. This includes, but is not limited to Mixers, tanks, drums magnets, pumps and screens.
??? Maintains 5S conditions at all times in the department and ensures walkways are clear of obstructions.
??? To ensure all containers, drums and buckets are properly labeled and are in good condition.
??? Perform all other duties and assignments as and when requested by the Powder Production Group Leader.

Skills:
The Powder Production Operator must be able to fulfill the following requirements:
--Be physically capable of performing the job.
--To be Trained and cross trained in the following powder production operations:Raw material weigh-out, Wet Screen, Blend, Press
--Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with other personnel.
--Must comprehend oral and written instructions sufficiently to carry them out properly and efficiently.
--Must be familiar with and observe all Company safety rules and regulations.
--Must complete all safety training as assigned.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-Have high school education or equivalent.
-Must meet pre-employment background and drug screening


Open Interviews held weekly on Tuesday from 10:00am - 12:00pm and Thursday from 1:00pm - 3:00pm!
