Job Description

Spherion is hiring a Print Production Manager in Indianapolis, IN!

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Salary: $55,000 - $60,000

Job Summary:
Manage manufacturing operations to ensure that we meet customer requirements for product quality and delivery while maintaining a safe workplace, and maximizing efficiency, and minimizing direct costs of labor and
waste/spoilage.

Responsibilities:
Maintain complete awareness of and manage production schedule to ensure customer ship date commitments are met.Ensure customer service is informed of any anticipated production delays in advance of committed ship dates so they can notify Sales rep and/or customer and discuss options. Ensure that requests for updates on status of
orders are responded to with a sense of urgency.
Ensure adequate production man hours and staffing to meet ship date requirements.
Monitor daily production output relative to scheduled/expected output and ensure production schedule is updated accordingly.
Manage and provide leadership to production supervisor(s), production leads, and other direct reports to ensure production goals are achieved. Coach, mentor, and develop staff into a high-performing team that delivers
continuous improvement, added value, and cost reductions.
Ensure proper quality procedures and practices are in place and being consistently utilized to achieve product quality requirements.
Act as a problem solver with production team to strive for a maximum efficiency in machine production, set up times and run speeds.
Report on manufacturing activities on regular basis to President and COO ensuring accurate and timely reporting of relevant key performance indicators.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Skills:
Utilize available resources to ensure production equipment is maintained.
Develop and lead training efforts for production team in the areas of safety, quality, new hire on-boarding, and related matters. Ongoing
Complete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, disciplinary issues, and procedures. Ongoing
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal results.
Manage inventory levels of both raw materials and finished goods to ensure appropriate levels to meet production/customer requirements while maximizing inventory turns.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Prior experience operating Mark Andy Presses (flex press) and Slitter Machines (Packaging)*
2+ years of relevant experience
Strong organizational and managerial skills
