Job Description

Design and maintain process changes for production while performing CNC programming of machinery. This position will be responsible to drive efficiency in process and create countermeasures as needed.
Essential Functions:
? Design, implement and evaluate process changes
? Perform CNC programming
? Assist with the training activities of Set Up persons
? Evaluation of job effectiveness of team members (ie. Set Up persons, etc.)
? Plans and designs methods to improve production processes.
? Reviews existing processes and develops solutions to increase productivity or reduce costs.
? Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address machine process problems.
? Provides technical support for the engineering process.
? Suggest and participate with Kaizen projects
? Develop, monitor and implement safety machine guarding and features
? Assist production and quality with claim countermeasures
? Support production to ensure production goals are met
? Assist production in meeting production goals through O.E.E, scrap and quality
? Design cutting tool for new and existing part types
? Design and install jigs and fixtures for both new and existing part types
? Working knowledge of PFEMA and PPAP
? Maintain 5S rules in all work areas daily (safety, cleanliness, organization)
? Develop, maintain, and update work instructions for engineering area as needed

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee constantly standing, walking, crouching, stooping, bending and twisting. The employee will frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally the employee will push/pull and lift up to 50 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Regular Full-time. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience:
? Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
? Formal training and knowledge in CNC machinery including but not limited to programming, offsets, etc.
? Ability to clearly communicate in a team environment
? Demonstrated ability to problem solve
? Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Education and Experience:
? Minimum two (2) years work experience in Engineering in a manufacturing environment
? Minimum two (2) years of post secondary education in Process/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
? Experience working with Hydromat Machinery
