Job Description

Hedstrom Plastics, in Ashland, Ohio, is looking for Process Technicians. 
This is a leading company in rotational molding, producing toys and learning products for kids of all ages!

Pay based on experience $15.00-$18.00/hr
** Effective Through May 1st / COVID-19 PAY**$3.75 hourly
 Pay increase- making your pay $18.75-$21.75/hour

Openings on 2nd and 3rd shifts!

2nd (3pm – 11pm)
3rd (11pm – 7am)

Workdays are Monday-Friday

About the Opening:
The process technician position will oversee the production team on their shift, set up new job orders, and assist with operators' workday needs. This position will take on the same job duties as a normal group leader but will also be involved in troubleshooting production problems with processing and mold conditions.

  • 1-3 years or more of experience in manufacturing preferred

Physical requirements:
  • Stand on feet for 8-12 hours at a time
  • This position is classified as medium work
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up-to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up-to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Required to have visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned
  • Regularly push, pull, climb, bend, reach, grasp, crouch, kneel, or stoop


Essential Job Duties:
  • Troubleshoot non-conforming/out of tolerance products
  • Improve the performance of the areas related to manufacturing by using data
  • Promote manufacturing and quality achievement throughout the organization
  • Responsible for machine operator breaks, production changeovers, and set up
  • Ensuring all work instructions/work orders are located at the machines, daily
  • Return all finishing work orders/shop packets to the production scheduler
  • Perform group meetings/ determine when to have meetings and why
  • Monitor and evaluate scrap levels.- Ensure that operators are adequately maintaining mold conditions
  • Ensure all manufacturing procedures/ ISO procedures are being followed
