Production Associate

Job Description

Spherion is hiring Production Associates to begin work immediately in Indianapolis, IN!

Pay is $18.40/HR

1st and 2nd Shift Available
Must be flexible with shifts


SUMMARY
Under general direct supervision perform assembly, wiring, adjusting or testing operations in the construction of furnaces, air conditioners and associated components. Works from simple drawings, employing small hand tools and pneumatic drill motors and drivers on repetitive diversified operations

Responsibilities:
- Assembling tubing and pipe fittings.
- Assembling fabricated sheet metal parts.
- Assembling motors, shafts and fan assemblies.
- Stripping wires, forming, soldering and assembling small electrical components.
- Cutting and forming tubes.
- Testing and adjusting to meet operating specifications.
- Packing units in cartons or crates where specified.
- Perform other similar or less skilled work.
- Follow all site safety rules listed in the associate handbook, cardinal rule cards, job specific standard work and any EHS training documents.
- Report all chemical spills and other environmental concerns to their supervisor, security or EHS immediately.

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

Skills:
- Must be able to work from simple drawings.
- Must be able to follow sequence of operations and exercise some judgement in making of minor decisions.
- Must be able to read and write, and add and subtract whole numbers.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent qualification
- Must be flexible to work on 1st shift or 2nd shift
- Must pass a background check, drug screen and physical
