Job Description

Spherion Staffing has a Production Coordinator position available for a Fargo client. This position will be to directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers in the warehousing and delivery distribution areas. Assist in helping to drive Operations towards Manufacturing Excellence, by providing a safe environment for the employees to operate while meeting daily productivity targets. The Production Coordinator should be a strong leader and effective communicator with previous supervisory experience and strong problem solving skills.

Day Shift
Pay $40-52k/year DOE

- Assist in Quality Control procedures and documentation
- Observe work and productivity and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
- Assist Production Manager in the completion of raw material and finished good inventory at the close of each period
- Assist the logistics department in preparing shipping statements
- Enforce safety, environmental and state regulations
- Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services in the warehousing and distribution areas.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
- Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
- Conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews for direct reports.
- Monitor and maintain product quality in accordance with Company standards
- Work with Production Manager and Supervisors to resolve areas of non-conformance and improvements to products, processes and performance

Working hours: Day shift mainly but must be flexible to work other hours/shifts

--High School diploma or GED
--Must have previous manufacturing lead experience
--Must be able to work weekends and/or 3rd shift when needed
--Strong mechanical aptitude required
--Ability to be trained to safely operate a forklift truck
