Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Lab Supervisor to join our East side client who is a world-leading provider of bovine genetics, reproduction services, technologies, and udder care products!

Options for 1st and 2nd shift

This position will coordinate, supervise and provide leadership to the Semen Production Lab team and will oversee the execution and organization of all processes, further ensuring the production of quality products to be marketed. This role will aid in achieving current and forecasted production goals and will actively seek opportunities for improvement and professional development. The Production Lab Supervisor will be expected to contribute both individually and as a team member-providing support to all team members and ensuring responsibilities are completed within production timelines. This position will be based in Windsor, WI.

- Oversee and manage the quality, accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of flow of semen and related components according to company standards
- Oversee the execution of daily technical activities within the lab routine; ensure efficient coordination of schedules and manageable distribution of responsibilities to meet production goals
- Coordinate with cross-functional team supervisors to address staffing strategies and cross-training opportunities between the laboratories
- Develop and drive robust continuous improvement efforts
- Managerial duties such as approving timecards, ensuring compliance to policies, collaborating with HR and Operations in recruiting, retention and succession planning
- Meet individually with employees to provide necessary mentoring, coaching, training and performance feedback
- Effectively communicate with Senior management and team to ensure alignment regarding production goals, process improvements, and workload projections
- Review CSS and USDA regulations and help ensure that procedures and facilities are compliant
- Ensure all Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Control programs are adhered to

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership skills, ability to use initiative, and to maintain relevant understanding of procedures to keeping a safe, efficient, and productive work environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes


4-7 years

- Bachelor's degree in Science, Animal Science, Biomedicine or related field required.
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant supervisory experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience working in production environment; lab environment preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
