Job Description

Now seeking an experienced production supervisor for a local manufacturing facility. This assignment entails the independent effective management of manufacturing of high mix, low volume, heat exchangers.

Position is full time. Working hours will be from 3:00 PM until 12:00 AM Monday thru Friday and some Saturdays.

- Manage machines, operators, and facility during second shift operations
- Monitor activities and independently supervise hourly employees within the heat exchanger fabrication area as a primary focus of this assignment
- Determine most cost effective methods for transformation of raw materials into complete heat exchanger assemblies
- Must be able to maintain and improve material information flow throughout the area
- Maintain and constantly improve 5S/6S in all areas under your leadership
- Troubleshoot new or existing manufacturing processes. Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations
- Improve the metrics of internal PPM, customer PPM, labor efficiency, and productivity for second shift operations

Working hours: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM

- Must be able to lead, train, and develop lead personnel and the operations workforce as a primary focus of this position
- Must be able to maintain and improve an Environmental Health and Safety system currently in place as related to ISO 14001 certification
- Must be able to maintain and improve the Quality System currently in place as related to ISO 9001 certification
- Must have comprehension of and ability to apply 5S principles in Departmental activities and improvement processes
- Must possess ability to drive changes through Continuous Improvement, Kaizen Activity, and Lean Manufacturing
- Proficiency with computer systems and versatility with Microsoft Office


4-7 years

- Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing leadership roles
- Previous experience in heat exchanger manufacturing is desired
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Experience in the HVAC industry is a plus
- Energetic, hands-on, results oriented individual with ability to foster positive relationship with production employees
- Experience and application of Six Sigma or other recognized Problem Solving Methodology

Bachelor of Science preferred. Will consider relevant experience in lieu of degree
Must have previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility
Must be willing to submit to drug screen and background check
