Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff, organizing and monitoring all tasks in the manufacturing process. Their main objective is to ensure that all production projects are completed in a timely manner and stay within budget. This is a working on the floor supervisor position that requires mobility daily.

- Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain staff by orienting, and training employees, develop personal growth opportunities for both the employee and company
- Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; initiating and fostering a positive attitude of cooperation within production departments and between sales and production.
- Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results; of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
- Resolve employee matters by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action and resolution.

Skills:
Education and Experience:
- College degree or technical school equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment; minimum of 5 years+ experience preferred.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be a strong and process-oriented leader.
- Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends
- Ability to operate machinery
- Excellent organization skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to speak and write English.
- Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/32"
- Good Math skills
