Job Description

The Production Technician 1 is responsible for component and product assembly. Understands blueprints, machine documentation, protocols and control system schematics.
1. Perform routine assembly and testing of mechanical components, apparatus and equipment. Complete production order and protocol documentation accurately
2. Perform routine testing of components and sub-assemblies
3. Assist in ensuring that build protocols and procedures are highly reliable and repeatable to produce zero defects in units
4. Ensure production orders and shipments are completed on time to provide zero back orders or late shipments
5. Ensure safe practices and good work area housekeeping. Resolve unsafe acts and conditions with the help of production management
6. Ensure adequate supplies, materials and equipment are available for production. Ensure accuracy of inventory
7. Program microprocessors and computer controls used in finished goods
8. Assist in reducing manufacturing costs by identifying changes to components and processes to reduce raw material costs and / or process time
10. Perform shipping and receiving duties as customer orders are received to ensure orders are handled in a timely and accurate manner so as to fulfill orders on a daily basis to meet shipping deadlines
11. Maintain appropriate levels of packaging materials
12. Understands and complies with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business

Working hours: 1st shift

1.High school diploma or equivalent
2. Possess a clean driver's license on a background check
3.Proficient with basic hand and power tools
4.Familiar with interpretation of drawings, procedures, specifications, etc
5.Ability to learn quickly and demonstrated attention to detail
6.Problem solver and solution oriented
7.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to communicate correctly and communicate problems and issues in a clear and concise manner
8.Demonstrated ability to efficiently use Microsoft Office products
9.Ability to work independently with moderate supervision and with other team members in a cooperative manner

1.Two years of relevant experience in manufacturing electro / mechanical equipment
2.Associates degree in a technical discipline
3.Solid knowledge of equipment, systems and techniques appropriate to debugging mechanical and electrical systems-
4.Experience with technical and operational manufacturing process details
5.Experience with engineering methods to diagnose product, component and process performance issues
7.High degree of flexibility and adaptability
8.Ability to organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple projects

1.Ability to occasionally move objects ranging in weight up to 100 pounds up to one hour per day
2.Standing for long periods, kneeling, crouching, etc
3.Clear vision for fine inspection of units; fine motor skills for assembly of delicate components
4.Ability to work in areas of limited space
5.Ability to travel, as required (up to 25%)
6.Ability to work overtime, evenings or weekends as requested to complete production and service responsibilities
