Job Description

Production Worker job summary:

Preferred ability should include past machine operator experience or a position that required good math skills and mechanical aptitude. You will need good math and measuring skills to ensure product is within spec. Previous mechanical or chemical processing experience is a plus. A desire to work with other production team members, willingness and ability to troubleshoot small issues, a solid understanding of basic math skills and basic computer skills is required. Fork truck experience is a plus but we can train.

Production Worker responsibilities:

- Fill, pull and package product into clean containers, at the proper weight and label and date code correctly.
- Using fork truck, load and label pallets correctly.
- Distinguish acceptable product from unacceptable product.
- Start up and shut down operations.
- Achieve 100% daily schedule conformance.
- Limit down time and use time to prepare for more product or to pack and clean. Downtime that is the result of mechanical failure, missing packaging, etc. should be reported to the lead or supervisor immediately.
- Ensure proper materials are being used and documented with accuracy (label inserts, papers, and fillings).
- Attends company scheduled meetings when applicable (i.e., safety meetings, production meetings, department meetings.)
- Maintain cleanliness on line and 5S standards. Equipment and work areas must be kept organized, clean and sanitary throughout the shift. End of shift requires removal of any waste and garbage generated during the shift.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Production Worker Skills:

- Ensure proper care of equipment.
- Use computers to input various measurements and labeling
- Measure and calculate proper portions and be within tollerances
- Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person. Report any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition.
- Support, and comply with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, employee safety, preventative maintenance program

High School

1-4 years

Production Worker qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent and ability to read, speak and write English so as to assimilate, retain, and apply training and knowledge of job functions and recognize and communicate problems and recommended solutions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Background check and drug screen required (Marijuana is consider an illegal substance by federal standards).
