Job Description

Spherion Staffing is hiring for a Purchasing Clerk position for a local company in the College Station/Bryan area.

-Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions to order materials, goods and supplies.
-Send them to the suppliers.
-Review inventories and order as required.
-Interact with the suppliers as needed.
-Coordinate with clinic location managers to review deliveries against the orders;
-Track the status of any orders and provide feedback to clinic managers
-Monitor stock levels and verify the need for purchases.
-Trace delinquent arrivals from purchase orders.
-Comply with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
-Deal with non-supplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods.
-Use data to modify order quantities and frequency.
-Ensure that any invoices and bill of lading are sent to accounts for payment.
-Produce and maintain all reports to track any trends
-Manage any procurement activities to obtain best prices for the organization.
-Report to the Fiscal Administrator

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

-High School diploma/GED
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Preferred: Associates degree and 2+ years of experience in a purchasing role


1-4 years

--Required: valid drivers license
--High school diploma or GED
