Job Description

Our client on the Southside is seeking an experienced administrative assistant with purchasing experience. Ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience in an administrative support position and will support the Purchasing Department.

Responsibilities will include:
??? Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and records on:
o Open Purchase Orders
o Supplier and Item Records
o Item Locations
o Product Bills of Material
o In-transit Inventory
o Consolidated Shipments
??? Work with freight forwarders and transportation providers to ensure proper routing, handling, and delivery of materials, goods and supplies in the most economic manner.
??? Maintain accurate files and records concerning cost and delivery of standard and expedited shipments. Provide updated reporting on same as required.
??? Place orders from approved suppliers, verifying pricing, quantities needed, product availability, required delivery dates and best shipment methods.
??? Maintain accurate files and records concerning cost and delivery of standard and expedited shipments. Provide updated reporting on same as required.
??? Review and verify vendor invoices, pack lists, bills of lading to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and standards.
??? Work within a team structure to achieve company and departmental goals.
??? Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to facilitate the overall operation of the department or company

Requirements:
??? Bachelor???s Degree Minimum
??? Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook
??? High level of analytical skills.
??? Strong organizational and time management skills.
??? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
??? Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
??? Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines.

Working hours: Monday - Friday

Skills:
