Job Description

This positon is working for a nutrition company that manufactures their own product. They specialize in health Food, Nutrition and all sorts of Vitamins and Supplements for People, Horses and Pets. The perfect employee for this position is someone with a Science or Chemistry degree that would like to work in a Lab doing Quality work perfecting these products.

QA/QC Technician will be responsible for ensuring Quality, Food Safety and GMP Compliance on the Production Line through continuous monitoring of production activities.

Print and issue batch records and product labeling.
Monitor production line team members for Food Safety and GMP Compliance including, but not limited to, observing general housekeeping, employee hygiene, hand washing, and hair coverings and enforcing corrective actions.
Monitor documentation practices by observing batch records, checking lot code accuracy in records during production and enforcing corrective actions.
Checking production rooms and equipment for proper cleaning and sanitizing and approving equipment and rooms for use.
Assist with the assembly, check and approval of production records at completion
Scan controlled documents for the Document in document management system.
Complete training, tasks, forms and records in Master Control document management system.
Assist with internal environmental monitoring program including surface swabbing and air plates.
Collect production samples for retention and quality control testing.
Monitor the temperature and humidity control system including WiFi data loggers and temperatures
Monitor records and documentation of critical control points.
Assist with various activities relating to internal audits and regulatory compliance.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Successful candidate will be well organized, detail oriented, and able to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining control of that environment, enforcing corrective action, and sustaining compliant systems without compromise.


1-4 years

Ideally the candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer or life sciences and some related industry experience. Must have experience working as a quality control or medical technician, or experience working with FDA, GMP, or other highly regulated production/laboratory environment.
