Job Description

Complete product offering of high performance wire and cable using both high and low temperature materials. We offer custom designs to meet the most exacting requirements. As an experienced manufacturer we assure that all of our products are engineered and manufactured with the highest level of expertise. We are aware of the important role that wire and cable play in your applications.

Performs incoming, in-process and final inspection of wire/cable products
Calibrates simple mechanical hand tools
Performs electrical/electronic and mechanical testing of product
Loading and unloading cable wire
Running product through the operators hand to feel for lumps/bumps

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Prepares necessary inspection records/reports, shipping documents, certificates of conformance and test data documents on components.
Prepare NCR's per procedure, giving adequate descriptions of discrepancies which will allow disposition of product.
Assures discrepant material is removed from availability.
Performs work assignments with minimum supervision and instruction.
Perform basic calibration on micrometers, calipers, and spark boxes.
Issue and recall measuring and test equipment.
Assures gaging is within calibration schedules and is so identified.
Use precision measuring equipment and perform detailed dimensional inspections as required.
Perform basic parts inspection using gages and instruments such as micrometers, calipers and various electrical/electronic devices.
Inspecting incoming purchased products, raw materials and components for physical damage
Ensuring receiving documentation is accurate and meets company requirements
Conducts visual, mechanical, dimensional inspection per procedures
Controls nonconforming products to prevent inadvertent use.

High School

1-4 years

High school diploma, 2 year degree a plus
Two or more years industry related experience in assembly/test in a manufacturing environment
Able to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.
Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and test specifications.
Perform basic mathematical calculations, as well as demonstrate effective verbal, written, and basic computer skills
Working knowledge of caliper, OD and depth micrometer and electrical/electronic devices used in the wire/cable industry.
An applied understanding of ISO 9001 requirements
Knowledge of calibration principles
Computer literate
Exceptional attention to detail
Effective communication skills and able to work with multiple departments.
