QA Tech shall maintain company food safety and quality standards for finished product, processed products, and processing procedures
Strong communication skills
Perform routine checks on finished product to include temperature, weights, product diameter, color and overall appearance.
Performs departmental pre-operational sanitation checks prior to production beginning and performs random sanitation checks during production when needed.
Conducts various arithmetic computation and completion of records.
Complies with all safety regulations and standards.
Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications, verifies and validates company's process control system.
Works closely with and packaging and shipping employees.
Insures calibration and maintenance of departmental analysis equipment.
Conducts environmental test functions which verify sanitation procedures and air quality.
Designs and implements quality control training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
Other duties as assigned.
Working hours: 6 AM - 2:30 PM; 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and a minimum of 1 -3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior meat processing experience, HACCP training, and process control training is preferred.
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory.
Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software such as Microsoft Word, Spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel.---
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
