Job Description

Quality Assurance Technician

Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties:


Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and test products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.
Assists with calibrations.
Follows safe work procedures.

Monday - Friday - 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Working hours: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm


Associate's degree (A.A.) from two-year college or technical school or six to twelve months related experience and/or training.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, profession journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Experience with writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a group of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Must have a proven track record and 2+ years minimum experience working a lathe and bandsaw.


Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Physical Demands:

During a shift the employee is frequently required to stand at least 8 + hours; walk to different areas of the plant: use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
