Job Description

We are seeking an experienced but not necessary Quality Control Technician to join our team. The Quality Control Technician performs analyses and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process sub-assemblies and/or finished products from manufacturing, to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property. Performs a variety of qualitative tests or qualitative assays on samples, and aids in maintenance and certification of test instruments and apparatus to ensure compliance. Prepares and monitors quality statistics and reports. Reviews production records for conformance to procedures. Conducts non-conformance tests of manufactured, packaged or tested product.

Qualification

Would like experience as Quality Control Tech but necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Primary work function will be inspection of carbide parts coming out of the furnaces.
  • Work with manufacturing technicians to achieve acceptable product and meet or exceed customer quality standards.
  • File quality documents and records.
  • Create and maintain inspection documents on computer.
  • Perform test on raw material, intermediate product and finished product for conformance to job specifications.
  • Use measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications using various types of laboratory equipment.
  • Read blueprints, data, manuals or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustments methods, certification processes, formulas required.
  • Document all inspection or test data into ERP system.
  • Mark items with details such as grade or acceptance-rejections status and record in ERP system.
  • Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems.
  • Discard or reject products not meeting specifications.
  • Collect or select samples for testing or for use as models.
  • Maintain accurate inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs.
  • Compare product properties to verify conformance to standards.
  • Communicate to Technical Director when raw materials do not meet quality specifications.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes all PPE when operating machinery & handling powder samples.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent
