Job Description

Technical Job Functions
Conduct mechanical and electrical testing and inspection/verification to defined specifications for new and existing products, raw material, warranty returns and calibration. Compile and provide test reports with recommendations for improvement. Participate in simple test fixture construction for material, product or process analysis.
Perform audits on piece parts, sub-assemblies or completed products for conformance to engineering drawings or established quality standards with minimal supervision as requested.
Participate/initiate activities within AS9100, ISO and Lean Manufacturing methodologies for problem prevention, identification of corrective actions, and verify solutions with minimal supervision.
Maintain routine data collection, entry, or reporting to assure product conformance, process capability, or equipment calibration with minimal supervision.
Set-up and operate a variety of mechanical or electronic measuring equipment, provide support for special processes with minimal supervision.
Observe establish safe working and housekeeping procedures. Promptly correct and/or notify Supervisor of hazardous situations.

Authorities and Responsibilities
This positions will make daily decisions as it pertains to product conformance and process capabilities. Along with that, this position will assist in the final decisions regarding product conformance before usage or shipment. The position will interaction with all Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Technical personnel on a daily basis. Interaction with Marketing and Purchasing when required. Finally, the position will assume other projects and responsibilities as directed.

High School

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
Education and Experience

Basic Qualifications
3-5 years relevant quality experience
Must have knowledge of inspection techniques and blueprint reading
High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree
ASQ Certified Quality Technician
