Job Description

Our client, a local manufacturing company, has an opening for a quality inspector associate. Successful applicant will perform inspections of materials and verifies process results to ensure conformance to specifications, requirements, and guidelines.
In addition, the Quality Inspector should have the ability and experience to operate, program, and troubleshoot CMM equipment. Inspector must be able to interpret CMM output to qualify accuracy of component dimensions and surface data.

General Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Use precision measuring devices to effectively inspect parts
- Operate machinery such as hand tools and air tools
- Operate and program computerized inspection equipment such as FARO CMM and additional CMM equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance as required
- Perform gage audits Repeatability and Reproducibility as required
- Assist in the development of reusability guidelines and work instructions
- Can effectively conduct powder testing
- Perform incoming receiving inspection
- Perform 1st article inspections on non-standardized parts
- Able to operate pallet jacks and other moving equipment
- Responsible for identifying issues and initiating corrective action processes as necessary
- Perform 5S Audits
- Perform Safety Stop Audits observations as required
- Participate in the CI/PID Process
- Any duties or tasks that may be assigned to promote cross training or support for various areas of the shop

Working hours: To be determined


--High School diploma or equivalent required
--Two-year tech school degree or equivalent experience preferred
--Minimum three years' experience in quality, inspection or machining preferred
--Proven record of good attendance
--Background in MRP/ERP software systems as well as MS Office preferred; preference given to candidates with SAP knowledge and product knowledge
--Must possess ability to deal with multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
--Must be able to be certified to operate forklift /man-lift
--Effective oral and written communication skills
--Effective decision making, analytical, and problem solving skills
--Ability to effectively interpret blueprints
--Strong interpersonal skills
--Proficient in Microsoft Office software, SAP/GSI
--Ability to organize and prioritize work
--Highly motivated and a self-starter
--Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
