Job Description

Summary: Responsible for inspecting received material, work-in-progress and finished products to ensure conformance with work order specifications, diagrammatic and template specifications by performing first piece, in process and final inspections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspects and determines compliance of first piece, in-process and finished products to customer and work order specifications using drawings, job routers, manual and automated inspection gages and equipment and visual standards for dimensional and cosmetic acceptance.
- Completes inspection records, checklists, and other work order documents.
- Identifies and segregates non-conforming product, and promptly identifies problems or discrepancies to supervision.
- Accurately fill out Shop Traveler, inspection sheets and any other related documentation.
- Enter dimensional data into Datamyte Quality Reporting Software during final inspections.
- Utilize measurement equipment such as micro vu, comparators, micrometers, calipers, tool maker scopes etc. for completion of inspections.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work may require weekend work. Dress is consistent with floor management in a manufacturing environment. Facility and grounds are tobacco free.

Working hours: 2nd & 3rd Shifts Available

Skills:
Qualifications
--Basic math skills are needed to add, subtract, multiply and divide
--Ability to understand complex written, oral and diagrammatical instructions to perform usual responsibilities in a timely manner
--Ability to problem solve when instructions are incomplete
--Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency
--Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
--Able to read micrometers, calipers, micro vu, comparators, tool maker scopes etc.
--Good interpersonal skills
--Previous medical inspection experience
--Ability to work with little direct supervision
--Minimum of a High School Diploma

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of JobBoss, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
