Job Description

As the quality manager, one of your primary responsibilities will be to develop, implement, and maintain the organization's Quality Management System (QMS). You will also be responsible to make sure that the QMS complies with customer, internal, and other regulatory and legal requirements. Additionally, the quality manager will be:
  • Communicating the status of concerns and quality issues to customers
  • Ensuring that vendor quality systems are properly evaluated and reported on
  • Overseeing the inspection and examination of incoming materials
  • Managing the monitoring, measuring, and reviewing of internal processes, particularly those affecting quality
  • Working with various individuals to help develop product requirements
  • Reporting to senior managers and the president on the performance of the QMS
  • Inspecting and/or calibrating both monitoring and measuring devices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Staying informed on standards, regulations & laws, issues, and news with respect to product quality
  • Supervising and leading both quality engineers and quality technicians

Skills

  • Understanding of TS/IATF 16949 requirements a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Superior communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of APQP, FMEA, process flow and control plans
  • SPC data systems knowledge a plus

Qualification

  • Minimum 5 year’s quality management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
