Job Description

The Quality & Service Technician I monitors and enforces product Quality Acceptance Levels and provides Customer Service to each division. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, he or she functions as an Engineering department representative to internal and external customers and participates in ongoing efforts to improve the QA/QC program.


  • Inspects and tests launchers, magazines, and accessories per Acceptance Testing Procedures.
  • Uses manual and digital gauges to ensure conformance with specifications and established quality standards, plus performs inspections.
  • Inputs daily metrics into database and delivers daily metrics to organization
  • Completes and maintains Acceptance Testing records.
  • Submit Production forms daily to quality team.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.


  • Resolve customer service issues via phone, email, mail, or social media (when applicable).
  • Generate Service Tickets and Weekly Service Report based on customer service issues
  • Document and process Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) materials
  • Bill customers for non-warranty service
  • Assist sales staff with product information and marketing materials
  • Identify and assist corrective action towards failure mode trends

Working hours: Various Shifts Available


  • Must be able to read manual and digital gauges
  • Must exhibit acceptable customer relations and represent UTS in a respectful manner
  • Math abilities including addition, subtraction, use of fractions, decimals, geometry and conversion of metric to inches.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail
  • Must have Microsoft Access, Word and Excel experience, good communication skills and written skills

High School

1-4 years

Minimum physical requirements include 20/20 vision with or without correction, use of hands 100% of the workday, ability to lift and carry 50 lbs, ability to stand or walk 75% of the workday, twisting, bending, leaning, and stooping frequently, and ability to work in a shop environment with continuous exposure to loud noises and dust.
