Job Description

The Front Office Representative is be responsible for a variety of
office duties including patient reception, registration, answering phones, scheduling office visits,
checking patients out of the office chart preparation and precertification/authorization of office
visits, and procedures, all performed in an effort to deliver quality care in an effective, efficient and
courteous manner.

1. Ability to perform job functions as described in the Registration job description.
2. Ability to perform job functions as described in the Cashier job description and must be
able to close at least one night per week.
3. Ability to perform job functions as described in the Receptionist job description.
4. Or / Customer Service Representative with Ability to assist in Checking Out patients
5. Can be considered for set hours depending on office needs.

1. Responds to requests for information or service.
2. Produces daily printed physician schedules.
3. Perform other duties as directed by supervisor or team leader.
4. May be asked to travel to other ONE locations for coverage.
5. May need to work early morning or late evening hours.

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

1. Ability to read and comprehend.
2. Ability to alphabetize, sort and file.
3. Ability to use computer. Specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
4. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follows HIPAA guidelines to protect personal
health information.
5. Ability to be thorough and accurate.
6. Ability to prioritize time and handle many tasks simultaneously.
7. Display a willingness to help others, a pleasant personality, a courteous manner and a
professional demeanor.
8. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
9. Ability to be flexible and patient.

High School

0-1 years

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic computer literacy required.
Bi-lingual language skills a plus.

Prior medical office experience preferred.
Prior patient/customer relations.

Physical Demands:

Requires occasional walking and standing
Requires sitting for long periods of time
Requires frequent repetitive finger/hand/wrist movement and finger/hand/eye coordination
and dexterity to perform computer entry and clerical functions and answer the telephone.
Requires occasional bending, reaching, stooping, lifting and carrying.
Requires normal visual acuity to observe computer monitor and paperwork.
Requires normal auditory acuity to communicate in person and on the telephone.

Mental Demands:
Requires mental alertness, follow-through, recall and attention to details.
Requires ability to maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure with time
constraints, a bustling and constant interruptions.
Requires ability to keep up with multiple tasks while keeping up with patient flow.

Environmental Conditions:
Office environment. Utilizing an office desk- sitting, reading, listening, or speaking
with the ability to move intermittently throughout the day.
Constant exposure to video display terminals.
Environment is well-lighted, temperature-controlled and well-ventilated.
Exposure to communicable diseases/body fluids is possible. Category II as classified by
