-Oversees and monitors the collection efforts of district collection supervisors and associated collectors to ensure adherence to regional protocols and collection goals are exceeded.
-Reviews aging reports with supervisors, and engages branch and district management as needed to expedite resolution of outstanding payments. Includes participating in monthly branch and district accounts receivable meetings with collection supervisors, collectors, and branch and district management. Includes calling on large and delinquent accounts when escalated.
-Monitors the performance success of supervisors and collectors by engaging in the performance management process, holding employees accountable for meeting their goals, and rewarding and disciplining employees as necessary.
-Provides training and holds meetings with supervisors to review protocols and best practices.
-Approves credits and periodic hold lists. Includes approval of issuing suspension of service notices and final demand letters to non-paying customers.
-Approves special billing for customers.
-Reviews legal packages for 3rd-party legal or collection agencies to ensure packages contain all necessary documentation to improve the company's success rate in collecting outstanding payments.
-Oversee progress for 3rd party legal or collection agencies placements.
-Participate in the interviewing and selection process of collectors and collections supervisors.

Skills an qualifications:
-Directly responsible for leading and managing supervisors of the collections department and indirectly responsible for all collection employees within the department.
-Business degree and/or 5 to 10 years related experience in collections management. Preferred experience in a service industry or related field.
-Able to read and interpret business contracts, technical procedures and government regulations, to write reports, business correspondence and emails and to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and customers.
-Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
-Requires a high degree of concentration and attention to manage and direct actions of employees a majority of time.
-Requires advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software; and average knowledge of other Office products.
